Crow Country by Mark Cocker (2007)

This book wasn’t what I wanted it to be.  My very urban neighborhood always has crows perched here and there, talking to one another, making strange clicking noises, cawing, watching us.  I love crows.  I wanted to learn more about crows.  I did not learn anything about American crows from this book.  That last statement sounds horribly petulant.

My rating: 2 of 5 stars
This book was not what I wanted it to be. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad book: it’s well written, if a bit slow going towards the end. But it just never clicked for me.
